September 1st - 7th

The Christian Center is collecting prom dresses for this years Father Daughter Purity ball. Please drop off current in- style clean dresses to the Christian Center Monday through Friday. September 8th - 15th

GriefShare is a 13 week Bible-based DVD and discussion series for those who are grieving the loss of someone near and dear. It is a support group that will provide a safe and caring place to meet and share with others who are also on the difficult journey of grief. Many have found hope and encouragement by gathering with others. The DVD's feature clips from pastors, counselors and other people who will offer practical advice and reassurance. The series will begin on Monday, September 8, 2014, from 6:30 t0 8:30 p.m. at Grace Church, 1325 E. Jefferson St., Morton. There is no fee to participate. No child care is available. Barry & Joyce Kloter’s 7th Annual Ice Cream Social and Gospel Sing will be held on September 13th at 6pm. This year’s featured singing groups are Heritage Gospel Quartet, Amazing Love, and Deer Fry International. The Social is free to attend, just bring your friends and your lawnchairs! Dr. Marilyn Keiser, organist and Chacellor's Professor of Music Emeritus at Indiana University, will be in concert on Sunday, September 14, at 3 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, located at 1617 E. September 16th- 30th

Bethany Community Church is announcing an extension to volunteer services to tornado affected homeowners, farmers, and businesses. As volunteers make themselves available, they hope to send teams on September 20. Bethany Community Church would also like to announce Dumpster Day. On August 2, affected residents of Washington, Roanoke, East Peoria, and Pekin are invited to bring e-waste (computers, televisions, DVD players, etc.), tires, general waste, and vegetative waste to fill 7 different dumpsters on Bethany’s property at 27265 Dutch Lane. Dumpster Day will be from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. No reservation required. Please bring proof of address. For more information, please call 309-573-2670.

Evangelical United Methodist Church is proud to present one of America's most exciting gospel artists, Ivan Parker, on September 27, at 7pm.
