but not impossible. The key is found in parenting your child’s heart not just
their head, by not just managing how your child acts in the moment but tapping into
your child’s heart for a lifetime. Whether you’re a first-time parent,
parent of teens, or anywhere in between, the new book, “Godly Parenting in an
Ungodly World” was written for you. Want to meet this new local author? Stop by
their book signing on April 2nd from 3-5pm at Grace Baptist Church in Pekin.
To learn more, call 309-925- 3630. This year’s “Your Body, God’s Plan” event will
take place on June 1-3rd at Heartland Community College in Normal. This event provides
children the information they need to understand exactly what
is happening to their bodies during the years of adolescence—and why God
planned it to happen just that way. Participating in Your Body, God’s Plan with a
parent will help preteens ready themselves for coming physical changes, equip them
to handle the sexual pressures that are sure to come throughout their
lives, and give them a better understanding of God’s perfect design for their
sexuality. For more information and to register, visit YourBodyGodsPlan.com. The Snyder Village Pancake & Sausage Supper
Benefit will be held on April 15th from 4-7pm. This all-you-can-eat supper will
feature Mennonite recipe sausage and tempting toppings for your pancakes. The cost
for the meal is your free-will donation. There will also be a 50-50 cash prize
drawing and free door prize drawings. All proceeds will go into the Snyder
Village Resident in Need fund. Snyder Village is located at 1200 E Partridge St
in Metamora. For more information, Visit snydervillage.com
or call Mike at 309-366-4116.
