March 1st - 7th

The Christian Center’s baseball & softball programs for boys ages 5-18 & girls ages 5-15 registration is currently open and will continue until the leagues fill up. The Christian Center is known for its positive environment and quality baseball and softball programs. Each participant in the program not only is taught solid fundamentals but is exposed regularly to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ! The season consists of 14 games in addition to practices scheduled by the coach. Practices begin mid April, with games beginning May 9th and running through mid July. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) will meet the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month starting at Chillicothe Bible Church. All moms (and expectant moms) of school-age children are welcome! This year’s Light Kids Conference will be held on March 7th from 9am-2pm at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. The Light Kids Conference is a one day event designed for children in grades 1-5. The purpose of the Light Kids Conference is to get kids excited about their faith and their walk with Jesus. March 8th - 16th

Legacy Five will be in concert on March 14th at 6pm at Calvary Baptist Church. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door and children ages 12 and under are free. Le Roy Christian Church welcomes international speaker, author, and Harvest Prayer Ministries President Dave Butts as the featured speaker at their 2015 Prayer Rally on March 14th from 9am-6:45pm. Dave will speak about the importance of prayer in our everyday lives and in the church while addressing questions about why the church needs prayer, how we pray, and the elements of prayer. Calling all fans of Christian rock music! Disciple, Decyfer Down, Seventh Day Slumber and Nine Lashes will be rocking out at First Christian Church of Monmouth on March 15th. These big name bands in a small venue is a recipe for an incredible time! Doors open at 6pm and the concert starts at 6:30pm. All this fun for only $10 at the door. March 20th - 31st

Grace and Peace Lutheran Church will have global music during their Sunday worship on March 22nd at 9am. This will be a joyful celebration of international diversity, featuring music in both original languages and English from Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, South America, Asia, Central American, and the Middle East. Ivan Parker and Brian Free are coming to central Illinois. The two Gold City alumni will be performing a joint concert in Springfield and all music lovers will want to attend. Ivan and Brian have been close friends since their days as part of the immensely popular Gold City Quartet. That relationship fosters some memorable moments onstage, so come expecting to be blessed and inspired and also to have a lot of fun. This landmark concert will be held at Real Life Church, located at 2450 Taylor Ave. in Springfield, on Saturday, March 28th. It will kick off promptly at 6pm. Redeemer Lutheran Church’s Preschool and Childcare will be hosting a community wide Easter Egg Hunt on March 28th from 10am-12pm. Children ages 0-10 are welcome to participate! Gospel Music family, "The Chosen Ones," will be in concert at First Christian Church on April 12th at 10am. Everyone is also invited to come early for "The Coffee Hour" from 8:45-9:45 a.m. for coffee, tea and something sweet (coffee cakes, rolls etc.). There is no admission fee. "Southern Raised", an award-winning family from the Ozarks will present a concert at the Evangelical United Methodist Church on April 17th at 7pm. The church is located at 401 Walnut St., just four blocks east of the town square in Washington. Tickets are $5. and will be available at the church office Monday-Thursday mornings or at the concert.
