Come out to Tri Valley Baptist Church for an evening of gospel music, featuring the musical talents and ministry of southern gospel trio, The Lesters! Liberty Bible Church and New Castle Bible Church musicians along with orchestra musicians from Peoria area churches will be performing an original oratorio title “Kingdom”.  Kingdom is based on Scripture and portrays Jesus Christ as Prophet, Priest and King.  The premier performance of “Kingdom” will be held at Liberty Bible Church in Eureka, on Sunday, September 2nd at 5pm in the afternoon.  For more information, please contact the church office at 309-444-4334.

 

 

The Lesters and Chosen Ones will be presenting "Celebrate Americal Family Style" Under the Tabernacle at Cowden Free Methodist Church Camp on September 8th from 10am-3pm.  The concert will take place across from the City Park in Cowden IL. Cost is $15 per person for the concert or $23 if you’d also like lunch. On September 9th at 6pm, Glad Tidings Assembly of God in East Peoria will present, “Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames.” This live, evangelistic drama presents people with the reality of eternity and gives them the opportunity to accept Christ. This program is a great opportunity to bring friends who haven't heard the Gospel. Childcare and kids programs will be available for children in fifth grade and younger. Join Carlock Mennonite Church for an evening of food, fellowship and music featuring Barry Ward on Sunday, September 9th at 6:00pm. Barry Ward is an award winning western vocalist and songwriter from Eureka, Kansas. A free will offering will be taken and refreshments will be served following the concert. New Castle Bible Church will be having a Women’s Bible study focusing on the book of John, starting on September 11th. There will be two identical studies available: Tuesdays from 6:45-8:15pm and on Wednesdays from 9-10:30am. Childcare will be available during the Wednesday studies. The study begins September 11th and ends November 14th. No matter how long you’ve walked with Jesus, whether you met Him yesterday or many years ago, there is always opportunity to know Him better. The book of John will take you on a journey through Jesus’ life and ministry while He walked on this earth. Calvary Baptist Bible Church will be hosting a “New to Homeschooling” meeting on September 13th at 7pm. This event is for anyone new to home education or considering beginning the home school journey. There will be a presentation time followed by a Q&A time. The Booth Brothers will be in concert on September 14th at Calvary Baptist Church in Normal. Doors will open at 6pm with the concert beginning at 7pm. General Admission tickets are $15 per person and 100% of ticket sales will benefit Midwest Food Bank. For ticket information, call 309-663-5350.

 

Living Waters Church 3rd Annual Refugee Walk will take place on September 22nd at 6am. Walk 15, 8, 4 or just 1 mile or sponsor walkers to support the 65 million refugees around the world displaced from their homes by religious persecution, war and natural disasters. All walks begin and end at Living Waters Church, 7229 N Knoxville Ave in Peoria. Northwest United Methodist Church invites you to join them in addressing & discussing the impact of addiction on the Peoria area in a 4-part series about addiction and recovery, led by area professionals who specialize in this field. Meetings will be held every Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm in September.
