The First Baptist Church of Pekin Cruise-In and Carnival will be held on August 12th from 11:30am-3pm. The Back to School Cruise-In/Carnival is a free event for all attendees. They will offer free hot dogs, chips, cookies, popcorn, water, tea, and lemonade. While the event is free, they do accept donations that will be used to support the Kids Hope program at the church. The church is located at 700 S Capitol St in Pekin. Glad Tidings East Peoria is hosting a Back To School Bash on August 15th at 9am. There will be food and fun! They will have Combat Archery, Knockerball, a foam pit, Giant Jenga, Giant Foot Darts, Bounce Houses, Music, and more. The event is completely free and everyone from the community is welcome. Evangelical United Methodist Church in Washington is welcoming back the well known and highly recognized gospel quartet, Mark Trammell Quartet on August 23rd at 7pm. You’re invited to an evening of fun, fellowship, Christian music and learning how God can be and is a part of your life. Come out to Tri Valley Baptist Church for an evening of gospel music, featuring the musical talents and ministry of southern gospel trio, The Lesters! Liberty Bible Church and New Castle Bible Church musicians along with orchestra musicians from Peoria area churches will be performing an original oratorio title “Kingdom”.  Kingdom is based on Scripture and portrays Jesus Christ as Prophet, Priest and King.  The premier performance of “Kingdom” will be held at Liberty Bible Church in Eureka, on Sunday, September 2nd at 5pm in the afternoon.  For more information, please contact the church office at 309-444-4334.



Community Bible Study (CBS) invites men, women and children to a 30 week study of Romans. The CBS mission is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all.  Come study Paul's letter to the Romans clearly presenting the many facets of God’s amazing grace available to all, because all have sinned.  Class will meet on Thursdays at Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria September 6 - May 9 from 7-8:30pm.
