Special Guests — The Rhythm Makers Orchestra
Step back in time to the golden era of music with Doug Horne and the Rhythm Makers Orchestra! They are a passionate band dedicated to reviving the timeless classics from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. In addition to big band favorites, they’ll also perform Gospel music, delivered with a distinctive 1940s twist. With their authentic sound and nostalgic charm, they transport their audiences to an era of elegance, swing, and infectious rhythms.

The Agape Ringers
Come to Lexington First United Methodist Church on October 5th at 4pm for a concert by The Agape Ringers, Chicago’s premier handbell ensemble. This year’s program encompasses a wide variety of musical styles, from classical to gospel, with arrangements such as the well-known “Rondo alla Turca” by Mozart, "My Song Is Love Unknown", and many more compositions for handbells. On Saturday October 11th from 4-7pm, Washington Christian Church will be hosting its annual Pancake/Sausage Supper for a local ministry called My Sister’s House. This Christian based ministry provides counseling, community, life skills training, shelter, food, & clothing for single women & their children in the safety of a restored 1867 communal group home located in Washington. Day of the Dozer
The Annual Day of the Dozer is back! On September 6th, kids will get the experience of a lifetime . . . a chance to see, ride, and drive heavy construction equipment at the McLean County Fairgrounds! For one day, the kids will be in the driver’s seat and actually operate bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment with a professional operator at their side. Additional construction, farming, utility, military and Emergency vehicles will be on exhibit, plus the world’s largest sandbox and other kid friendly activities. It’s a great day for good dirty fun! Dream Center Peoria’s Annual Backpack Peoria is coming up on Saturday, July 26th. Backpack Peoria is where the Dream Center not only gives out 2000 backpacks loaded with school supplies, but also provides haircuts and medical and dental exams to kids that need it.
